Not too sure whether the incentives that were announced recently should be taken in a positive way.
Come on, it is a well known fact that employers shun mothers-to-be like a plaque. Reports in the papers confirm it. We have heard about it from friends and we have also seen it with our very own eyes.
Increasing from 3 months to 4 is definitely advantageous for the Mum, but isn't that pushing to much on the paying employers who on the other hand, are always looking for various ways to improve productivity, cut cost, blah blah blah.... Don't make it compulsory, please!!!
Baby bonuses are good, the govt giving hard cash every 6 months. Matching dollar for dollar? Some would doubt it.
Not all establishments except CDA and that can be a bad thing. Even the participating banks are giving out ATM cards for these CDA accounts Come on!!! How to use it????
This CDA usage should not be limited to classes & childcare. If we put in money now, the CDA can only be used when the kid start his pre-school activities. Again not all establishments except CDA!!! Some even say, they can only start for K1/K2 classes......that is 5 years after the child is born!!
Someone should suggest that CDA could be used for buying milk powder, pampers, medicinal items, doctor visits, zoo trips, bird park. Now, that would be useful. I am sure fellow parents do agree with me on this.
Nevertheless, money matching for 1 to 1 is better than no money matching at all.....
But what happens if the money is not fully utilised? Does the govt take back the money that is not spent?

Exams.......
Ahhhh, stressed out by Exams, exams and more exams!!
Why does the parent always feels more stressed than the child?
My god, the boy says that going for exams is just like any other day. After assembly, go to the class. Sit down, receive a set of papers....fill up the details, scribble down the answers and hands it up to the teacher when it is time. The bells rings, go for recess, go to canteen, buy Mee Rebus, play with friends.... What's so different from a normal day in class?
The atmosphere is certainly not different. Don't think these boys know the meaning of exams...
Maybe the teacher need to emphasize to them that exams matters and it will decide their lives forever!!
Can that be scary enough for a 8 year old to worry about his exams-a-la-future?
Probably not......

Words of love....

Powerful movie, tough decisions made. Whether anyone would face this same situation in life?
Love is a wonderful thing but does that make you do the things that you never thought that you would have to do?
Saving a life is one thing, but at the expense of your own happiness? Or for the sake of an unborn child, not knowing whether he gets to see his own father? Is that worth it? Scary thought.
Pray, that something like this does not happen. I love my wife & my kids

He's a Boy!
Just found out today that the baby will be a boy!!
That will be 3 boys, 3 same toys and 3 same joys.....
It doesn't really matter whether boy or girl. For me kids are a wonderful and welcome addition, whatever sex they may be.
What a joy to see them running around making a whole lot of noise...Saturday & Sunday mornings would never be the same again.
I can imagine them quarrelling, taking sides, throwing punches, throwing things, cryings, vandalising nice blank walls, bicycle tracks on the floor....endless...
Wonder whether someone shares the same view????

Deciding the Undecided
Acknowledged that the bosses think something of me and guess that i have been doing something quite right to be in their minds....
Well, thinking about this opportunity has made me fall sick (again!) over the weekend but the mind is clear, stick to what you have been doing best and get better at it.
My other half/colleagues have been supportive of me, advising and encourage me wisely. Very grateful for their words of wisdom....
On the homefront, the NDP was great! Fireworks, fighter jets, national anthems.....made me real proud to be born and bred in this country!
My boys are still my darlings......not to mention my other half whom without, would not make this blog possible...
adios
